Originally created in Taiwan, red oolong tea resembles black tea with oolong tea characteristics. The tea leaves are harvested from high elevations at LiShan (Pear Mountain) and slow roasted to carefully produce the distinguished qualities of red oolong tea. The notable taste was worthy of recognition at an international tea competition in Paris, France.
